Hadleigh and Benton End Gardens Excursion
Join us for a very special opportunity to visit the only recently re-opened Benton End Gardens, home to The East Anglian School of Painting & Drawing & its founders: artist-plantsman Cedric Morris & artist Arthur Lett-Haines in Hadleigh, Suffolk on Thursday, 18 June 2026, as well as enjoying a tour of Hadleigh’s historic town centre.
In the morning, we will be given a tour of Cedric Morris’ newly restored walled garden, which had been abandoned since 1983 and only recently re-opened thanks to a significant fundraising campaign. We may even be lucky enough to see some of Cedric Morris’ rare irises in bloom.
We will be taken into Hadleigh town centre for lunch, for which we are free to find ourselves lunch at any of Hadleigh’s many cafés and restaurants. Please note that lunch is not included in the ticket price. In the afternoon we will enjoy a special tour of the town to learn more about this ancient market town, with a unique historic centre and over 250 listed buildings.
