Why join the Bury Society?

Membership of the Bury Society has several benefits, including:

Bury Society members can voice their views to the executive committee on local issues and the town’s development. The opinions of the Bury Society are highly valued by those agencies making decisions for the town’s future.

Subscriptions 2025

As from 1 April 2022, all the assets and activities of the Bury Society were transferred to the Bury St Edmunds Society CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation). This means that you will have to change the bank account that you pay your subscriptions to (we cannot do this for you).

    Subscriptions

    As a registered charity we rely solely on subscription and voluntary contributions to carry on our work. These also allow us to provide a mix of free and affordable social activities for all the members to enjoy.
