The appeal of the proposed Cornhill Walk development by the Bury Society and the Well Street Residents Association.

Martyn Taylor, Chairman of the Bury Society, local historian, author and registered town tour guide, says:.

“The future of Cornhill Walk has been in doubt ever since the Arc shopping centre was
completed. It is one of a number of shops in the town such as Palmers and Laura Ashley
that have not stood the test of time.
By way of contrast, here is a once in a generation opportunity to replace a building of
indifferent quality and replace it with a new development which will enhance the town’s
heritage assets and conservation area.”
