Society Awards for Visual Enhancement
The Society makes annual awards for exceptional restoration, new build or landscaping work completed in the town.
A panel of professionals, representing the Society, visit and consider each suggested scheme to assess its merits for an award. The panel is looking for outstanding quality of design and workmanship which it considers results in an enhancement of Bury St Edmunds.
The creators of successful schemes are presented with an engraved slate plaque for display on the building. There are many of these to be seen around the town. Alternatively, we may award commendation certificates. Developers, owners and designers are presented with their awards at the Society’s Annual General Meeting.
In 2011 two awards were made:

The Apex

St Edmundsbury Cathedral
